I have been wanting to do a photography blog for a while and was really inspired by James Patrick Gibson's New Type York. As I'm really new to working downtown, but I love taking pictures and I really love finding interesting typography.

Kansas City has always been my home and I thought it would be fun to share the typography of the city.

Handwritten sign near River Market

There’s something about handwritten text that is in all caps that makes it easier to read, particularly when written in chalk on a sandwich board. I like how they really emphasized the word BIG by making it bigger (duh) and underlining it.

The sandwich doesn’t really sound that appetizing to me, though.
