Why does the number have to be spelled out right next to the numeral? Also, why isn’t the “DOWNTOWN” aligned with the larger “SEVEN” directly above it? Something weird is going on here…

I have been wanting to do a photography blog for a while and was really inspired by James Patrick Gibson's New Type York. As I'm really new to working downtown, but I love taking pictures and I really love finding interesting typography.Kansas City has always been my home and I thought it would be fun to share the typography of the city.
